Be A Professional

All too often, the child care industry's professionals are considered as anything but.  In order to dismantle this idea, child care professional must show themselves as such--professional.  In child care, there is a level of professionalism that must be displayed at all times.  The only thing that your parents should be privy to is the shining example of your brand and how well you take care of their children.

Directors should make sure that their staff is operating with the highest level of professionalism.  There should be boundaries set in place that assure that the lines of professionalism are not crossed or blurred.  You should always treat your parents as you would a distinguished guest.  Speak clearly and with correct English.

Above all, make them feel welcomed and like they are the reason why you are here...truthfully, they are.
